Waterborne Painting Process

Loading → Surface Cleaning / Pretreatment → Flame/Corona Treatment → Primer Spraying → Flash-off → Clearcoat Spraying→ Multi-stage Drying / Curing→ Inspection → Unloading

Stage 1: Flash-Off Zone (45 to 55°C) - Controlled, low-temperature moisture evaporation helps stabilize the wet film, assisting in the prevention of surface skinning, solvent boiling, and micro-bubbling.

Stage 2: Gradient Drying (55 to 70°C) - Segmented thermal release aids in safely extracting deep-layer water vapor from polymer substrates (PP, ABS) while reducing thermal shock.

Stage 3: Precision Curing (70 to 95°C) - Controlled thermal cross-linking promotes thorough resin curing, supporting targeted levels of adhesion, pencil hardness, and chemical resistance.

FAQ

Q: How does the system prevent water-borne paint defects like blushing or blistering?

A: The system utilizes a closed-loop environmental control unit maintaining 50 to 60 percent relative humidity and a three-stage gradient thermal drying process to regulate moisture evaporation safely.

Q: What polymer substrates are compatible with this paint line?

A: The line is engineered for standard automotive plastics, including PP and ABS, as well as metal components used in exterior and interior trim.

Q: How are different part variants and paint colors managed on the line?

A: A centralized PLC with touch-screen controls supports multi-recipe data storage, facilitating efficient changeovers between different component programs.

Q: What safety standards apply to the spray and electrical zones?

A: Electrical and pneumatic zones comply with Ex d II BT6 explosion-proof ratings to suit hazardous industrial spray environments.

Q: What kind of water recycling efficiency does the pre-wash system achieve?

A: The integrated closed-loop pre-wash purification system is designed to achieve a water recycling efficiency of 80 percent or higher.

Q: What after-sales support and warranty terms are provided?

A: The equipment includes a 12-month mechanical warranty from final site acceptance, accompanied by 24/7 remote technical assistance and global spare parts supply.
